Bakkhali Forest // বকখালীর জঙ্গল

There was a time when every tourist used to come to Bakkhali to spend time and it was a reserve forest but after Amphan and Bulbul the condition of the forest here is very bad. So now there are no such animals and birds in this forest and their movement is not like before because the forest has been cut so much or destroyed by the storm that no one wants to come there anymore and people gather in large numbers to see it. So all this has happened only as a result of this natural disaster but due to this natural disaster no arrangements have been made to renew this forest. If we ever get such an opportunity from our foundation then we will definitely make arrangements to renew this forest again.

একটা সময় ছিল যখন বকখালিতে প্রত্যেক পর্যটক আসতো সময় কাটানোর জন্য এবং এটি একটি রিজার্ভ ফরেস্টের মধ্যে পড়ে তবে আমফান এবং বুলবুল হয়ে যাবার পর থেকে এখানে জঙ্গলের অবস্থা খুবই খারাপ। তাই এখন এই জঙ্গলের মধ্যে আর সেরকম কোন পশু পাখির নেই তাদের আনাগোনা ও আগেকার মত আর হয় না কারণ জঙ্গল এতটাই কেটে পরিষ্কার হয়ে গেছে বা ঝড়ে নষ্ট হয়ে গেছে সেখানে কোন মানুষই আর এখন আসতে চায়না দেখার জন্য মানুষ প্রচুর পরিমাণে ভিড় জমা । তো আর এইসব হয়েছে কেবলমাত্র এই প্রাকৃতিক দুর্যোগের ফলে তবে এই প্রাকৃতিক দুর্যোগ হওয়ার ফলে এই জঙ্গলকে পুন নবীকরণের কোন ব্যবস্থাই করা হয়নি। আমরা আমাদের ফাউন্ডেশনের পক্ষ থেকে যদি কখনো সেরকম সুযোগ সুবিধা পেয়ে থাকি তাহলে আমরা অবশ্যই করে এই জঙ্গলকে পুনরায় পুনর্নবীকরণের ব্যবস্থা করব। 

In 2024, we planted as many trees as we could, but that effort failed because we realized that if we only continue to plant trees here, our efforts will be in vain. Because the herbivorous animals in the forest will eat those small seedlings, so there is a need to surround them with their best friends. However, if the trees can be saved, we could not do it because we do not have such financial facilities. If we ever get such facilities in the future, then we will definitely make this forest a reserve and we will be able to make arrangements for the return of migratory birds.

   The trees in the forest are very beneficial for us because trees certainly provide oxygen and bees collect honey from them. Due to the storm, the monkeys that were there before are no longer visible in the forest. We assume that they are no longer here or have died or gone somewhere else. We do not know. However, if we all extend our hands to take them back from the forest to their previous place, then we can all do it together. Everyone's cooperation is definitely desirable here.

২০২৪ সালে আমরা আমাদের সামর্থ্য মতো প্রচুর গাছ লাগিয়েছিলাম কিন্তু সেই প্রচেষ্টা ব্যর্থ হয় কারণ এটা আমরা বুঝলাম যদি এখানে আমরা শুধু গাছই লাগাতে থাকি আমাদের পরিশ্রমটাই বৃথা হয়ে যাবে। কারণ জঙ্গলের যেসব তৃণভোজী প্রাণীরা রয়েছে তারা সেই ছোট ছোট চারা গাছ খেয়ে ফেলবে তবে সেটিকে বেস্ট ফ্রেন্ড করে ঘেরার জন্য একটি দরকার রয়েছে। তবে যদি গাছগুলো রক্ষা করা যেতে পারে, আমাদের কাছে সে রকম কোনো আর্থিক সুযোগ-সুবিধা না থাকায় আমরা সেগুলো করতে পারিনি। ভবিষ্যতে যদি কখনো সেরকম সুযোগ-সুবিধা আমরা আমাদের মতো জোগাড় করে উঠতে পারি তাহলে এই ফরেস্ট কে আমরা রিজার্ভ করে অবশ্যই বানিয়ে তুলব এবং পুনরায় পরিযাই পাখিদের আসার ব্যবস্থা আমরা করে নিতে পারব।  

        জঙ্গলে যে গাছপালা গুলো রয়েছে সেগুলো আমাদের জন্য খুবই উপকার কারণ গাছ অবশ্যই অক্সিজেন দান করে এবং সেখান থেকে মৌমাছিরা মধু সংগ্রহ করে থাকে জঙ্গলে যে পরিমাণে আগে বানর ছিল ঝড়ের ফলে সেগুলো আর দেখা যাচ্ছে না কারণ আমাদের অনুমান সেগুলো আর এখানে নেই অথবা মারা গেছে কি অন্য কোথাও চলে গেছে আমরা সেটা জানি না তবে আমরা সবাই যদি হাত বাড়িয়ে দিই জঙ্গল টাকে পুনরায় আগের মত আগের স্থানে নিয়ে যাওয়ার জন্য তাহলে সেটা আমরা সবাই মিলে করতে পারব এখানে সবার সহযোগিতা অবশ্যই করে কাম্য।
